Hello,
Im Hettie nice to meet you. I am a HCPC and BAAT registered Art Psychotherapist. I am passionate about supporting people to find their creative voice and develop autonomy in their mental health. I have witnessed how art making in conjuction with reflective discussion can help people to express themselves when words cannot and develop a richer understanding of themselves. As a therapist I take a collaborative approach, working with you directly or non directly depedendent on what feels appropriate. My practice is informed by Systemic, Psychodynamic, DBT and developmental theories, some may call this an integrative approach. I am happy to disuss these approaches with you and what may work best for you.
I have extensive experience of working therapeutically with Adults, Young people and families. I have had the honour of working as an Art Therapist across various settings; National Health Services, Charity, education and specialist mental health services. Alongside this I have worked privately for 3 years supporting people with a range of support needs.
